DHA Phase 2 Islamabad: location, sectors and master plan
DHA Phase 2 Islamabad lies between Grand Trunk Road and Islamabad Highway, according to DHA Islamabad–Rawalpindi. These two road corridors provide the wider location context; the most convenient route to an individual house depends on its sector, street and entrance.
This DHA Phase 2 map collection includes a 2016 provisional master plan and individual sheets for Sectors A–H and J. Start with the master plan to understand the overall layout, then select a sector map to examine its street and plot labels. No separate Sector I sheet is included in this collection.
When comparing houses or plots in DHA Phase 2:
- Verify the complete address, including the sector.
- Locate relevant commercial areas, parks and other facilities where labelled.
- Check practical access, parking and the immediate surroundings during a visit.
- Confirm the latest layout and plot status with DHA; the 2016 plan is a historical planning reference.

History and published area
- Launch year: A historical JICA development table records 1994.
- Published area: DHA’s phase overview states approximately 15,075 kanals.
- Infrastructure milestone: DHA records the inauguration of the Phase 2 grid station on 16 July 2009.
- The published overview does not establish a separate launch-day area or a development-completion date.
Launch, development, possession and first occupancy are different milestones. A verified first-occupancy date was not established from the sources reviewed.

Phase 2 provisional master plan
Sectors are colour-coded A (west), B and C inland of A, D on the north, E in the centre, F south of E, G east of E, H south-east, and J at the north-east. There is no Sector I on the legend.
- Legend lists phase boundary, Sectors A–H and J, public building, commercial, DHA reserve, and Al-Ghurair Giga residential area.
- A commercial belt is drawn along the southern edge toward Islamabad Highway / GT Road approaches shown on the frame.
- Green patches mark parks or reserved open space as drawn; they are planned/shown land uses on this 2016 sheet.
- The footer states plots, sizes and locations are liable to change and that DHA reserves the right to re-plan.
Sector A map
Sector A is a long strip. Road labels include To Chakri and To Rawalpindi along the highway edge. Giga Shahan is named beside a water or nullah feature. A block marked A1 sits toward the south-east commercial end, with DHA Phase III indicated beyond that corner.
- Blue blocks along the highway are drawn as commercial frontage.
- Orange public-building blocks appear at both ends of the strip.
- Green pockets are shown as parks or reserved open space on this sector map.
Sector B map
Sector B is a tapering residential grid. Dhoke Karyal is labelled near a green space in the middle of the sheet. A larger park sits toward the lower centre. Street blocks fill most of the remaining area.
- Green patches are labelled as green / park on this drawing.
- An orange public-building strip sits on the highway side of the sector.
Sector C map
Sector C is a rectangular street grid with Jinnah Boulevard labelled along the long edge. A yellow graveyard block occupies a corner. Green DHA Reserve parcels are marked in more than one place. A mosque and a shops block sit together toward the inner streets.
- Readable labels include Grave Yard, Masjid, Shops, Roof (park), and DHA Reserve.
- Plot numbers are printed on many lots; confirm any number with DHA before relying on it.
Sector D map
Sector D is split around a large undesignated centre. Cadet College is labelled in that gap. Orange “HOUSE” blocks and a north commercial label appear on the west. A mosque and police station pair sit on the north-east lobe. Blue commercial or mixed blocks line some edges.
- To Kahuta is indicated on the western approach.
- Green DHA reserve / park parcels are drawn among the residential streets.
- A gate is marked toward the south-east of the sheet.
Sector E map
Sector E is the most facility-dense sheet in this Phase 2 set. Jinnah Boulevard and Power Avenue are labelled. A large circle is marked JFC Commercial Center with allied facilities, 100 kanal — shown on the map, not verified here as an operating count.
- Readable labels include Grid Station, Masjid, Club, Gym, Parking, DHWT, park and lawn.
- Street and lane numbers (ST-1, Lane-6 and others) are printed across the residential blocks.
Sector F map
Sector F is a regular residential grid in blue on this print. A large orange School / College block sits on the south. APS (SNR), DIS Masjid, JFC Marquee and several DHA Reserve parcels (one marked 35.42 K) are labelled.
- A second Masjid is marked near the southern lanes.
- Central Boulevard is labelled along the east edge.
Sector G map
Sector G is a yellow residential field. A school is marked on the north-west corner. Shops, a water tank, DHA reserve parcels, Plaza 16 and a Suparco Tower label appear among the streets. Gate-5 is marked on the south-east.
- Lane and street numbers are printed throughout; use zoom on the original to read a plot number.
Sector H map
Sector H fills most of the south-east of Phase 2 on the master plan. This sheet shows two Masjid labels, a Shops / Disp. pair, a School marked 6.85 K, a circular water tank (W.T.), and DHA Reserve parcels. Pothohar Avenue is labelled along the south.
- Power Avenue appears on the north edge of this sheet.
- A blue-outlined lobe on the east is still part of the sector boundary as drawn.
Sector J map
Sector J sits at the north-east of the master plan. Jinnah Avenue runs through the sheet. A school and masjid share a central block. Blue commercial or mixed plots sit on ST-19. Gate-7 is marked on the east.
- Plot numbers are printed on most lots on this sector map.
- No Sector I counterpart exists in the supplied files.
